PRIMARY school youngsters from across Hartlepool took part in a tag rugby event yesterday.
Year five and six pupils from 15 schools competed in the Tag Rugby Festival at the town's High Tunstall School.
Representatives from the town's rugby clubs gave tips and advice and offered support, and pupils from Tunstall School refereed the matches and looked after the younger pupils.
Lesley Shepherd, from Tunstall School, said: "It is a great afternoon and encourages team spirit in all those who take part."
