PUPILS and staff at Stanley Burnside Primary School took part in some hair-raising events in aid of Comic Relief.
The school held a non-uniform day, with a range of activities in keeping with the event's theme - The Big Hair Do.
Activities involved pupils and teachers and included an hairobics class in the playground, hair-raising ghost story telling and the Horrible Hair Poll - where pupils were able to vote for the teacher with the worst hair style.
Year 5 pupils managed a sponsored litter pick in and around the school grounds.
And three brave boys in Year 6 raised sponsorship when they volunteered to have their heads shaved.
The school has raised more than £300 for Comic Relief.
