A PLEA to allow a holiday chalet in Ripon to be turned into a home has been rejected by planners because they say the site and access are at risk of flooding.
Refusing the application at Riverside Pine Lodges, River View Road, council officials said permanent occupation of a chalet as a home would increase risk to life and property.
They believe it would mean people living in a flood-risk area for longer periods, particularly in winter
