VISITORS can get a closer look at the origins of our early ancestors in an exhibition opening next weekend.
Viewers who tuned in to the start of the BBC's series, Walking With Cavemen, last night, can get a close-up view of the first humans in the Upright Ape exhibition, at the Hancock Museum, Newcastle.
The display goes back nearly six million years to the dawn of mankind.
The exhibition runs from Saturday, April 5 until Saturday, September 7.
