Back-to-back wins over Hackney White Heat and Sutton Pumas at Eston saw Conference League champions TVL Teesside Mohawks finish the 2002/03 season six points ahead of runners-up Plymouth with a record of played 22, lost one.
Neither opponent was allowed to get anywhere near causing an upset. Six-man Hackney, whose late arrival caused Saturday's start to be delayed by one hour might feel that the 116-72 defeat was not worth the late dash to Teesside.
And Sutton, who lost by 21 (101-80) provided entertainment of a different basketball kind with their usual brawling style.
Ralph Bucci starred, top-scoring in both fixtures with a pair of 23-point scores, while skipper Jason Swaine included 11 threes in his 36-point total.
High-scoring visitors were Hackney's Perry Lawson and Sutton's American star Marlin Capers who each picked up 20 points.
