Langbaurgh moved into the semi-final of the League Cup with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Durharn Fire. Langbaurgh scored twice in the first 20 minutes with goals by Matt Lymer and Ally Lancaster. They also scored the third goal, unfortunately at the wrong end, to half the deficit by half time. Durham Fire got back on level terms with a penalty early in the second half.

Carl Hodgson restored the home sides lead once more, but again the Fire team equalised in a real end to end confrontation. With extra time looming, Matt Lymer struck the winner with five minutes remaining and this time his side hung on to secure their semi-final spot. Langbaurgh must make the long haul to Newcastle for the semi.

The Tyne and Wear juggernaut rolls on thanks to a three goal win. over Easington. Kevin Simpson and Richie Biggs scored goals in the first half and Simpson's second half strike secured the points.

Newcastle moved up to third spot with a 7-2 win over shorthanded Darlington. Paul Makepeace grabbed a hat-trick, whilst Richard Hay scored two and Paul Kindon and Dave Hewitson got one each.

Durham HQ took all the points from their match with Stockton, running out 4-1 winners. Dave Oliver and Mick Button bagged a brace apiece for HQ, while Paul Ryder got Stockton's consolation goal.

Derwentside managed to field a team this week and as a result were able to secure all the points with a 2-1 win over Frankland. A deflected shot from Chris Knight was the only goal of the first half. Phil Donnelly finished well, when put clear to make it 2-0. Lee Drummond chipped the ball over the keeper with ten minutes remaining to make it 2-1, but Derwentside hung on to take the points.

SedgefieId were unable to field a side against Saints, further adding to Saints fixture problems and meaning a likely further points reduction for Sedgefield.
