PUPILS from a Darlington school tackled a musical marathon yesterday to raise money for charity.
Whinfield Junior School pupils took turns participating in the Singalong Marathon, a national event organised by the Children with Leukaemia charity.
Pupils, aged from four to seven, chose 26 of their favourite songs and performed them throughout the morning, outside the Asda store, in Whinbush Way.
Sheila Williams, Whinfield Junior School headteacher, and class teachers guided the pupils through their songs, as they performed in half-hour spells. Friends and family sponsored them for the performance.
