SURFERS who want better access to the Internet have been urged to sign a virtual petition which could unlock the door to Broadband in Richmond.
At the moment, the technology will only be installed where a demand has been established - and Richmondshire Broadband Group has been set up to prove there are enough people who want the service across the district.
Anyone who wants to join the campaign can sign up online at www.richmondshirebroadband,org.uk
The same group is also promoting the advantages of satellite communication technology across the area.
A mobile unit will be in Richmond on Wednesday, May 7, to explain the benefits and give anyone who wants to test the systems some hands-on experience.
