A NORTH-East teenager has appeared in court accused of taking a car without consent and other driving offences.
Philip Kelly, 18, of Hundens Lane, Darlington, is accused of taking the Ford Focus on March 6. The car was involved in an accident involving a pedestrian, at the junction of Haughton Road and McMullen Road, Darlington.
South Durham Magistrates Court adjourned the case until May 20.
