A MOTORCYCLIST died yesterday when he was involved in a collision with a car.
The accident, on the B6451 at Norwood Mast, west of Harrogate, happened at 1.20pm.
Police said the rider of a red and white Honda CBR Fireblade travelling towards the A59 lost control of the bike and collided with a blue Vauxhall Cavalier travelling in the opposite direction.
The motorcyclist, who has not been named, suffered severe injuries.
Police last night appealed for witnesses who saw the accident or the motorbike being ridden before the collision. Anyone with information is asked to call (01423) 539326.
