FOR the first time the public is being invited to attend an exclusive civic ceremony.
Most authorities have a guest list for the annual mayor-making ceremony, with the council inviting business and community leaders to witness the event.
Richmond Town Council has decided to set aside a limited number of tickets for anyone living within the town boundaries who wishes to attend this year's cerem- ony.
If demand exceeds the number of available tickets, a ballot will be held to decide who attends.
Anyone who would like to be considered is asked to submit their name, address and telephone number to Richmond Town Hall by next Friday.
