A 57-BED care home for the elderly in Darlington looks likely to be approved by planning officials tomorrow.
St Martin's Care has applied for permission from Darlington Borough Council to redevelop the site in Burnside Road into a two-storey home with 17 parking spaces, and access from Roxbymoor Crescent.
The site, which is vacant, was previously the Moorcroft Residential Care Home.
Planning officers have recommended that councillors approve the application at tomorrow's committee meeting.
