Sedgefield Players, with their entry My Mother Said I Never Should, won best costume award and came third for best production award at the Isle of Man Easter Drama Festival, gaining praise for their presentation.
Norma Neal, in the role of Margaret, took the best actress award, which she has won on previous occasions.
Now the Sedgefield Players will be hoping to top their performance on Saturday, when they take part in the divisional finals of the All-England Festival, being held in Sedgefield Parish Hall, with a play called The Trial.
