Division One: Acklam SW 3 v 2 Carlin How

Acklam Steelworks brought a four match losing run to an end, but had to fight all the way. Craig Hallett opened for Acklam in the 20th minute, Graham Solomon equalised for an even half-time score line. Eight minutes into the second half Martin Say with his seventh of the season gave Carlin How the lead, but two minutes later Hallett with his second of the match made it all square at 2-2. The match was very even now and looked to be heading to a draw, but with two minutes remaining man of the match for Acklam Dean Talukder with his 27th of the season snatched the points and gained a revenge win over Carlin How.

Fishburn Park 3 v 1 Richmond Town

Fishburn Park entertained Richmond Town with both sides going to finish in mid-table, although Fishburn Park have a cup final date with Carlin How. Danny Brown gave Fishburn the lead after twenty-two minutes and Stuart Marsay, Fishburn Parks top goal scorer made it 2-0 in the 36th minute and added his second. Six minutes before time Adam Emson scored what turned out to be a consolation goal.

Mackinlay Park 0 v 2 Bedale FC

Redcar side Mackinlay Park were brought down to earth with a bump when facing Bedale. Bedale took the lead after half an hour when Paul Taite scored his 24th of the season, Wayne Gredziak made it 2-0 with his 27th of the season a minute into the second half. The Redcar side pressed for a way into the match but Bedale who will hope that Nunthorpe and Grangetown may slip up leaving the door open for them to snatch the title away from them at the last moment.

Thornaby FC 4 v 1 Whitby Town Res

Whitby Town Reserves with the wind behind their backs shocked the home team by taking an early lead through Richard Boden, his 11th of the season. Thornaby drew level in the 30th minute when Chris Levick crossed to the far post where Gary Wyatt headed home his 3rd of the season. In the second half Thornaby pressed forward with the advantage of the strong wind and went in front ten minutes into the second half when Michael Arif notched his 18th of the season with a sweet flick with the outside of his boot that went in off the bar. Ten minutes later a good move by a number of Thornaby players was rounded of by John Ritchie for his first of the season, ten minutes from time Danny Jones made it 4-1 with his 18th of the season to secure the points and give his team an outside chance of catching the top three, with a great chance of making impression next week as they play Grangetown Boys Club.

Thornaby YC 1 v 1 BEADS FC

Thornaby who slipped to a defeat at Mackinlay Park in mid-week were entertaining Middlesbrough side BEADS FC, their early season meeting saw them draw 1-1, after a goalless first half BEADS took the lead on the hour when a corner has headed onto the Thornaby bar and Chris Birks reacted quickest to knock the loose ball home. They Youth Club fought back but had to wait until the last minute when Wayne Mahoney had a great run at the BEADS defence who could only end it by brining him down in the penalty box, Marty Moore stepped up to rescue a point by firing home the equaliser in the last minute of the match.

Wolviston Res 0 v 2 Nunthorpe Ath

Wolviston Reserves entertained Nunthorpe Athletic who if they won by two clear goals would return to the top of the table. But Wolviston who need the points themselves to keep out of the relegation zone were not going to be any pushover and matched their visitors. Nunthorpe had a number of good chances but Wolviston keeper Malcolm Williams, who was named as man of the match was in splendid form and saved his side from going behind with two superb saves from Boldison and Anthony Roberts within a couple of minutes. With the match looking to be heading for a goalless draw Nunthorpe introduced substitute Dominic Ingram, who picked up the ball and ran at the Wolviston defence before cutting inside and firing past Williams in the goal. Wolviston pressed forward again but were caught out on the break when Ingram struck again.

Division Two

Darlington SRM 2 v 4 Teesside Ath

Darlington Simpson Rolling Mills and Redcar visitors Teesside Athletic were goalless at half time, but five minutes into the second half Alex Hugill gave Athletic a 1-0 lead, but the lead only lasted three minutes before Danny Thorns pulled it back to 1-1. But the Darlington side found themselves level for only three minutes as Hugill with his second of the match made it 2-1 to the Redcar side, ten minutes later Jamie Martin gave Athletic a 3-1 lead. But the Darlington side struck back five minutes later when Terry Wardley pulled it back to 3-2, but five minutes later Andrew Tunnacliffe with his 3rd of the season secured the Redcar side victory.

Guisb Town Res 1 v 1 Teesside Arriva

Guisborough Town Reserves would be hoping to pull of a second shock against Hartlepool side Teesside Arriva, who require two points from this match or from their two remaining matches, to secure the runners-up position and promotion to the first division. Arriva pressed from the kick off and were well on top, but it took until the 30th minute before Kevin Auton scored what he hoped to be one of many his side could score. In the second half Arriva again pressed forward putting the home side on the back foot, but with eight minutes remaining Arriva were caught by the sucker blow when Guisborough broke and Andrew Davies with his 7th of the season pulled it back to 1-1 and spoilt the visitors party plans as they still need a point to make certain of runners-up spot.

Whinney Banks 2 v 5 Teesside Link

Whinney Banks in their penultimate match of the season slipped to a heavy defeat by visitors Teesside Link who were playing their last match of the season, Paul Lambert with his 16th of the season gave Link a 10th minute lead, Lee Donachie made it 1-1 eleven minutes later, this remained the half time score. Two minutes into the second half Leigh Reed gave Link the lead for the second time and Tony Wray the increased the visitors lead to 3-1, Whinney Banks fought back and four minutes later Simon Cook pulled it back to 3-2, but Teesside Link struck back with a goal in the 71st minute by Chris Manuel to make it 4-2, and the points were rapped up by player manger Chris Hardy with five minutes remaining to make it 5-2.
