Crook Individual League

The early surprise leader of this new competition played at Crook Coach and Horses is Lee Scott with five points, but he could now have problems as he broke his arm whilst playing for Roddymoor in the Norman Wright Memorial Cup Final. Michael Burke is in second place with four points with third equal James Ivil, David Stephenson, Aaron Cowan, Darren Tinkler, Richard Walker and David Craggs three points each; ninth equal Neil Campbell, Les Scott, and Johnny Mason two points each; 12 equal Adam Martin, Stephen Heyes and Stephen Burke 1 point each; 15th equal Lee Cullinan and David Haygarth are without a point.

Bishop Auckland and District League

Bishop Auckland Football Club failed to stop the drive towards the top from their hosts, the reigning champions from Crook Olde Horse Shoe when they only took two points from their trip. Craig Lumley scored the lone singles point for the footballers whilst Lee Taylor managed a second when he shared the captain's games with Gavin Witton. The remaining points came from Johnny Mason, Richard Walker, Gavin Witton and Dave Leighton with two points each in the singles to add to the doubles of Walker and Mason.

Bishop Auckland Snooker Club lead the table by two points from Spennymoor Ash Tree and Crook Olde Horse Shoe, who are one ahead of Crook Coach and Horses A and Tow Law Station.

Crook League

Crook Olde Horse Shoe A retained their unbeaten record when they beat their hosts at Crook Belle Vue, who were in second place, but it proved a struggle to the end. The Club had singles wins from Paul Morgan, Gary Pears, Ian Hodkinson and Pip Samson to add the doubles from John Warriner with Brian Wright and Pip Samson with Ian Hodkinson. The visitors went one frame ahead with one to play with two points each from Chris Peacock and Gavin Witton and one each from Richard Walker, Cliffy Owens and Dave Walker. The Club failed to force the draw when Gary Pears lost to Brian Johnson in the final frame.

The Olde Horse Shoe A lead the First Division by seven points with Crook Travellers Rest A moving into second place, one point above Crook Belle Vue.

In the Second Division Croft Social Club pulled off a draw on their visit to Crook Golden Fleece A. The scores went to six each when Richard Dobson won two singles and Stephen Fairgrieves, Rebecca Newton, Wayne Teasdale and Paul Futter one each for the Fleece, whilst Dave Fenwick, Dave Parvin, Bob Spence and Chris Clough won singles to add to the doubles from Bernie Robson with Fenwick and Keith Hoggarth with Parvin. Paul Foster moved the Fleece ahead but then Croft grabbed the draw when Dave Lacey beat Stephen Fairgrieves in the final frame.

Crook Coach and Horses B dominate the Second Division with a 17-point lead with Crook King's Head six points ahead of Hunwick Club.
