The semi finals of the team knockout competition with the teams who finished first and second in the league having the chance to meet each other in the final.

Both were at home and it was this season's champions, Spennymoor Voltigeur, who, on paper, had the harder draw having to host Bishop Auckland King's Head. Dean Mains won the opening game for the home side but the King's David Jacomb levelled and his team mate Kevin Watson put the visitors ahead. The next three went to the hosts with wins for Andy Mole, Kelvin Anderson and Michael Craddock. David Jacomb took his second point to reduce the King's deficit but it wasn't good enough when Dean Mains, Andy Mole and Kelvin Anderson all took their second points to claim victory for the Voltigeur.

Spennymoor Wheatsheaf visited runners-up Bishop Auckland Manor but had to watch as Peter Mernor, Ron Wright and Jon Tomlinson gave the hosts a good start. Dale Briggs pulled a point back for the Wheatsheaf before Steven Webb made it 4-1. Ray Percival tried to start a revival, taking the next point for the visitors but it was the home side who were inspired, taking the final three games through John Collinson, Steven Webb and Jon Tomlinson to give the Manor a 7-2 win and set up a promising final.

Results: Bishop Auckland Manor 7 Spennymoor Wheatsheaf 2; Spennymoor Voltigeur 7 Bishop Auckland King's Head 3.
