Whitehill FC stay in poll position courtesy of a 4-1 win at Brandon Station.

Michael Pitt hit his first goal from three when he put away a nice header from a cross by Justin Robson. Brandon drew level when Michael Fort met a Paul Eallis cross with a brave header but Pitt hit his second from 18 yards with a left foot drive. A minute later came his hat-trick with a simple tap-in on 65 minutes. Mark Elliot made it 4-1 with a curling cross.

Seaham Mallard went down 2-1 at home to Shildon Railway. A goal by Doug Grant and an own goal by Lee Henry had Shildon 2-0 before James Taylor got a consolation.

Cockfield FC lost 2-1 at home to Hartlepool Town. A tap-in from Anthony White put Cockfield ahead but Hartlepool drew level when a shot from Neil Sleeman was deflected into Cockfield's net. Ten minutes later Neil Sleeman again put Hartlepool in front with an 18-yard shot that curled into the top corner of the net.

Belford House beat Seaham The Duke 2-1. They were in the lead when Ian McDowell finished a good move and Grant Bulmer made it 2-0 after ten minutes. Belford's Brian Tayne missed a penalty just before The Duke reduced the arrears with a penalty by Alan Ball.

Sporting Club Sunderland won their league game 2-0 against Simonside Social Club. In 15 minutes Barry Cook's centre was met with a fine header by Paul Mouat to make it 1-0 in the first half. In the 60th minute Lee Butler hit a fierce volley from a cross by Simon Williams to seal it for Sporting.

Coxhoe Athletic beat Willington WMC 2-0 in the semi-final of the Weardale Charity Cup. A shot by Gary Turton from 20 yards put them ahead and a John Parnaby goal earned Coxhoe the tie who will play Ebchester FC in the final.

Ebchester FC earned their place when they won their semi against West Auckland Queens Head. The score was 0-0 after 90 minutes, then 1-1 after extra time with Ebchester holding their nerve to win 4-3 on penalties.
