Crook Ladies League

Tow Law New Market B won the play-off for the runners-up spot when they beat Crook Jelly's Bar B at Crook Cricket Club by eight points to three. In the outstanding league match, Tow Law Dan's Castle beat the visiting Billy Row Green by seven points to four.

* The League's Presentation Evening will be held at Cook Belle Vue on Thursday, May 1 at 7.30 pm. The annual meeting will be held at Tow Law New Market on Tuesday, May 13 at 8pm. Wear Valley Ladies League

The League's four-a-side competition was played at two venues with the winners from each to play off on Finals Night.

In the quarter finals Crook Mill House beat Crook White Swan 4-2, whilst Crook Golden Fleece beat Howden Sunnydene Lodge 4-1. Crook Golden Fleece qualified for the Final after they beat Crook Mill House 4-3.

In the quarter finals Crook Coach and Horses beat Crook Three Blue Bells 4-2, whilst Oakenshaw beat Crook Surtees 4-2. The Coach and Horses match against Oakenshaw had to be left over to be played on 8 May.

Crook and District 4D's Mixed League

The annual meeting of the mixed league will be held at 8pm on Tuesday, May 6 at Crook Coach & Horses. The league matches are played on Thursday evenings and comprise a mixture of ladies singles and doubles, gents singles and doubles and mixed doubles at both darts and dominoes.

There are vacancies in the league, which will begin towards the end of May. Any team interested in joining should telephone 013388 765651 and talk to the secretary, Irene Clark. All teams intending to compete in the league must be represented at the Annual General Meeting.
