THE funeral service and requiem eucharist for the Right Reverend Frank Weston, Bishop of Knaresborough, will be held at Ripon Cathedral at noon on Wednesday.
It will be attended by family, friends and colleagues who worked with him throughout his 40 years of ordained ministry. Bishop Weston, 67, died on Tuesday.

STEWARD'S DEATH: The steward of Darlington Haughton-le-Skerne Workingmen's Club has died at the age of 63. Mel Graham has been steward at the club for 13 years and previously worked at the British Legion Club, in Trimdon, County Durham.
ROBBERY ATTEMPT: Police were called to Bowburn Post Office, in Bowburn, near Durham, yesterday, following an attempted robbery. A youth demanded money from staff, but when challenged, fled empty- handed.
