ABOUT £2,000 worth of cannabis and heroin was recovered from a North-East house in a drugs raid on Thursday evening.
Officers from the District Drugs Unit and the District Support Unit swooped after local information about drug dealing activities in Egerton Street, Middlesbrough.
About £2,000 in heroin and cannabis, stolen clothing, a radio scanner, a dozen mobile phones and £500 in cash were found at the house. A 40-year-old man was arrested and due to be questioned last night.
An address in the town's Devonshire Road was also searched and crack cocaine and heroin valued at £300 and £300 in cash were recovered.
A 24-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs with intent to supply and has been bailed pending results of forensic examinations.
