FILM NIGHT: Sedgefield Community Association will present the film Spy Kids 2 in Sedgefield Parish Hall next Friday, at 6.30pm. The film will be repeated at Mordon Village Hall on Saturday, May 24.

FOOTBALL CHAMPS: The under-16 Longfield School football team have become the new Darlington town champions. The team beat Hummersknott School, who are the county champions, 2-1. The win was the final match for the team who are all leaving school at the end of the term.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Age Concern in Darlington is looking for bus escorts to help people on and off its buses. The charity is also looking for waitresses and people wanting to wash up in its restaurant. To help, call (01325) 362832.

SCOUT MEETING: The Darlington and District Scout Council is holding its annual meeting on Wednesday. It will start at 7.30pm at the district scout centre at Widdowfield Street in Darlington.

GUIDED WALK: A guided walk is taking place on Sunday around Darlington's yards. Anyone interested can meet under the town clock at 2pm to meet Darlington historian George Flynn. The walk is £2 for adults and £1 for senior citizens and children.
