Inter Club League
The opening match of the year found Bedale away to Ripon City. A strong performance in the singles which resulted in wins for Kevin Ward, John Webster and a half by Andrew Gatenby was not repeated in the fourballs which only managed a win by Ian Smith and Roger Parry and left the team losing to Ripon City by the narrow margin of seven points to nine.
Juniors
Three teams of Juniors travelled to Malton and Norton Golf Club to play in the British Heart Foundation Stableford competition.
Although the winning score was 84 points and third place 76 points Bedale's team of Matthew Day (Junior Captain) and Sam Johnson returned scored of 36 and 37 points respectively to give a total of 73 points a creditable performance. In support of the British Heart Foundation Bedale donated over £200.
