A GROUP has been set up to prevent any health care discrimination against elderly people.
Members of the County Durham Age Discrimination Scrutiny Group want people to contact them with any examples of unfair or discriminatory practices.
Composed of health, social services, voluntary organisation and independent sector care members, the group is striving to ensure that older people do not face difficulties accessing NHS or care services.
The chairman of the committee is Ann Hitchman, non-executive member for Durham and Chester-le-Street Primary Care Group.
