The Tyneside Royal Marine Reserves Unit is holding an open day at its base near Spillers Wharf, Newcastle Quayside, from 1pm to 5pm next Saturday.
The free event includes performances by the Royal Marines Band, combat boat boarding and camouflage demonstrations, free boat rides and displays. Among those attending will be servicemen recently back from the Gulf.
