Cleveland and North Yorkshire League
Thimbleby deposed Urlay Nook from top spot with a near perfect 192 to 175 home victory over Hardwick Hall. Paddy Webb scored a perfect 25 for the home team, whilst Dave Wilkins scored a 24 for the visitors.
Stokesley moved upto second in the league with an unexpected three clay victory 182 to 179 away win over Great Smeaton. Ian Meadly shot a maximum 25 for Stokesley and Gorden Carvey scored similarly for the home team.
The week's big movers were Spennymoor who moved from 7th to 4th with a 182 to 169 home victory over Marne CC. Jim Tones and I Mullarkey scored 25 ex 25 for the Moors. Tony Masters top scored a 24 for Marne.
Fox Hall scored their highest home score of the season with a 185 to 166 victory over Oak Lodge GC. Tom Hicks, Mick Grainger and Ken Cooper all scored 24 for the Foxes, whilst Gary Attwood, Andy Calvert and C Setchell scored 22's for the Oaks.

Meanwhile, the The Cleveland and North Yorkshire Sporting Clay League retained the Inter-league Shield last weekend with an impressive 233-point victory.
The first leg was held at Rustan Quarry, home of Wykeham GC, where the Derwent and District League beat the Cleveland and North Yorkshire League 912 points to 896. The top scorers were E Aaron with a 44 for Derwent whilst Mike Foster (Great Smeaton) shot a 42 for League. The Derwent league led the competition by 16 points.
The second leg was held at Oak Lodge Shooting Grounds, where the Cleveland and North Yorkshire League won by 249 points, 961 points to 712. Paul Dowson (Urlay Nook) was top gun for the Cleveland and North Yorkshire League with a 45 ex 50, whilst JT Midgley scored a 44 for the opposition. The Cleveland League turned out over one hundred shooters and which overwhelmed the travelling Derwent League.
