Last weekend Christopher Wilkinson finished seventh in the 1500m free at the NEC's at Sheffield.
The weekend before, eight Billingham swimmers competed at the Gateshead and Whickham Masters Meet. All swimming exceptionally well with many personal bests and all with high places being achieved, medals were won in abundance, eight gold, 14 silver and eight bronze.
Lorraine Riddle, swimming in the 19 to 24 age category picked up gold in the 200m and 100m back, silver in the 200m, 100m and 50m free and 50 back.
In the 30 to 34 category Alister Wrigley achieved silver in the 50m free, bronze in the 100m back and 400m free and picked up fifth place in the 50m fly, 100m IM and sixth in the 100m free.
Three swimmers competed in the 40 to 44 years category. Guy Fawkes came away with gold in the 200m free, silver in the 200m Back, 100 free and 400m free and had a seventh position swim in the 100m back.
Shirley Fawkes finished in silver position in the 200m free, fourth in the 400m free and fifth in the 100m free and 200m breast.
Mark Wilson finishing in sixth place in the 50m free, 400m and 200m free, eighth in his 100m back and free and ninth in the 100m IM.
In the 45 to 49 category Ian Muscroft achieved gold in the 100m and 200m breast, silver in the 400m free, bronze in the 100m IM and fourth in the 100m free.
Susan Wilson picked up gold in the 200m and 50m back, silver in the 100m back and bronze in the 200m, 100m and 50m free.
Roy Butterworth competed in the 55 to 59 category attaining gold in the 50m free, silver in the 100m free, bronze in the 200m free and fourth in the 100m IM and 400m free.
In the mixed relay events Billingham finished in silver position in the 100m free and 100m medley races. The men picked up bronze in the 100m medley and 4th in the 100m free.
