A TOWN'S flooding problems are to be examined at a meeting later this week.
Hartlepool Borough Council's environmental stewardship and regeneration forum meets on Friday to discuss the problem.
Ian Parker, the council's head of technical services, will give a presentation on flooding problems across the town.
It is expected to be the first of a number of meetings.
West View, Rift House, Valley Drive, Stranton Cemetery and the railway bridge in Station Lane have suffered flooding in recent years.
Councillor Sandra Fenwick, chairwoman of the forum, said: "There have been recurring flooding problems in various areas of the town for a number of years now, and this investigation is designed to determine long-term solutions.
"Flooding impacts on people across the whole of the town."
Earlier this year, Hartlepool Mayor, Stuart Drummond met Northumbrian Water officials to express his concerns after flooding in the West View area.
