Consett Afternoon WI : MEMBERS were welcomed to the June meeting by Linda Richardson, who opened the meeting with the singing of Jerusalem.
Marian Tucker read the minutes.
A verse was read by Joan Dance. The speaker, Mr Welch, gave an interesting talk on the Nevilles of Raby. The vote of thanks was given by Miriam Owens.
The competition, Coat of Arms, was won by Syliva Dimambro, second Audrey Johnson, third Maria Marlow.
The raffle was won by Margaret Colclough.
