A SCHEME designed to provide a better quality of life for Darlington's burgeoning population of people over 50 continued with a jewellery-making session yesterday.
The event at Richard Court was part of the Darlington Active, Independent, Staying Young (Daisy) programme being operated with the support of Darlington Borough Council.
Activities have been taking place since May and will continue into October.
Yesterday, a tutor from Darlington College of Technology gave a taster session in making jewellery.
A baking competition will be staged at Dinsdale Court next week. Information on Daisy events is available on (01325) 388508.
