ORGANISERS of what could be the country's first sales in a churchyard have hailed the event a success.
The church of St Michael's and All Angels, in Copgrove, North Yorkshire, needs money to cover running costs.
But rather than the usual jumble sale, the congregation pooled their bric-a-brac for a yard sale.
Treasurer Bob McBratney, who thanked villagers, said: "We have not got a final amount at the moment, but we would expect to have raised around £500."
