A HOSPICE with financial problems is planning a leaflet drop to raise money.
Teesside Hospice, in Middlesbrough, is planning a mailshot campaign over the next two weeks as part of a 21st anniversary appeal to raise £210,000 this year.
The 60,000 leaflets will start being distributed in Teesside from next week.
Joanne Denwood, hospice marketing manager, said: "Each year we care for more than 3,000 individuals from the local community free of charge, and most people are surprised to learn that our annual running costs are in excess of £1.6m. We receive about a third of these costs from the local NHS and must therefore, raise approximately £2,600 every day."
