A CLUB for people with mobility problems has been given cash to buy equipment so more members can enjoy trips.
Spennymoor and District Mobility Club, County Durham, has been awarded £1,660 from Christ Hospital, in Sherburn.
The club, at Spennymoor Leisure Centre, will use the money to buy a ramp and a motorised wheelchair.
Vice-president Ron Campion said: "We are really looking forward to getting the chair, which will help members who can't propel themselves for very long.
"The ramp is also going to be useful as it will make getting about much easier."
The club's next outing is to Sedgefield Racecourse later this month.
