ANGLO-Chinese relations have been given a boost with the publication of the first edition of a dual language magazine.
The Chinese Magazine is a glossy colour publication produced in Durham by The Chinese Association North-East Region.
Established in June 2001, the Association is a volunteer-run organisation offering assistance and support to anyone from the mainstream and more local Chinese communities, while also acting as a platform to air or address issues of concern.
It also helps to develop and promote Chinese culture across the North-East.
Youngsters from the Chinese Association Language School have helped to put together the new publication at Sunday classes at Durham Gilesgate Sports College.
The magazine will be widely available, in public places including libraries, hospitals, doctors' surgeries and other primary care trusts premises.
