BEER-LOVING jugglers hope to avoid living up to the name of their new bespoke brew.
Members of Durham City Jugglers were honoured to have a beer made in their name following their approach to a local micro-brewery.
The end product, a high-quality cask ale, Juggler's Drop, is the new toast of group members who enjoy a tipple at the city's Market Tavern after their weekly practice session and workshops.
Juggler's Drop is a 4.0 gravity light hoppy session beer produced by the Durham Brewery, based in Bowburn.
The first pint was pulled by Market Tavern licensee Tony Lenaghan on Tuesday evening as group members arrived with their juggling batons and unicycles following their weekly workshop at the Shakespeare Hall.
Mr Lenaghan said: "There were a few suggestions for the name, but they settled on The Jugglers' Drop so as not of offend anyone."
Juggler Roger Davies said:"We like to sample some of the real ales on offer at the Market Tavern and someone suggested we should have one of our own.
"The landlord Tony took to the idea and the rest is history."
