A MAN paralysed in a motorbike crash is to make a 10,000ft tandem parachute jump for charity.
Steve Wilford will be raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance as a thank you for the lifesaving treatment he received following his accident.
Mr Wilford, 47, who is paralysed from the waist down, suffered serious injuries including a broken neck in the crash at Stamford Bridge, York, two years ago.
Father-of-two Mr Wilford, of Overdale, Eastfield, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, said: "I'm not at all nervous - at the moment."
He said he was raising the money because he had been so grateful to the medics who he says saved his life.
"I got from the accident scene to hospital in Leeds within eight minutes," he said.
