SUPPORTERS of a Darlington charity basked in the sunshine as they supported the organisation's summer fete.

The event, in aid of the town's St Teresa's Hospice, took place in the hospice grounds, in Woodland Road, on Saturday.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore a variety of craft, book and bric-a-brac stalls, try their luck on a tombola and test their skills with a variety of games.

The fete was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Darlington, Councillor Roderick Francis.

Entertainment during the afternoon was provided by the Tiffany School of Dance, from Darlington.

Money raised will help towards running costs of the hospice's six-bed care unit.
