A MOTORCYCLIST killed on one of the region's roads at the weekend was yesterday named by police.
He was identified as John Alfred Bruce Ridley, a 50-year-old who lived in Wombleton, near Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire.
Mr Ridley died when his 600cc Honda bike collided head-on with a Peugeot 406 car on the B1257, near Hovingham, North Yorkshire.
The accident happened at about 6.30pm on Saturday.
