THE inquest into the death of a Redcar teenager who died from stab wounds has been postponed until the completion of a criminal case at Teesside Crown Court

. Teesside Coroner Michael Sheffield adjourned the inquest into 17-year-old Chris Cave's death yesterday. The father-to-be died following an incident near his home on June 5.

Sean Matson, 20, of Langthwaite Walk, Redcar, appeared before Teesside magistrates charged with his murder. He was remanded in custody and the case was committed for crown court trial.

Free training: People who work or volunteer in communities in the Redcar and east Cleveland area can learn about public relations at a free workshop. Representatives from The Northern Echo's Communigate website and BBC Radio Cleveland will be at the event, at Redcar Education Development Centre, from 9.30am to 3.45pm, on Wednesday, July 30. PLUMBING SUCCESS: Tom Collins, 24, from Low Hartburn, Stockton, has received a £100 voucher and certificate in recognition of his achievements during his plumbing training at Hartlepool College of Further Education. He is employed by Trevor Barnes Plumbing and Heating, in Stockton.
