CHILDREN are preparing to transport parents and friends to a magical land in their annual end-of-term show.
Pupils from Woodham Burn Infants School, in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, will be staging a musical production of The Wizard of Oz.
The show will be performed to parents and the community tomorrow and on Friday.
Headteacher Pat Henderson said: "Itis traditional here that year 2, who are leaving to go to the junior school, always do the end-of-year production.
"This year, we are doing the Wizard of Oz, and it is for the whole community of parents, friends and family."
Mrs Henderson said she was amazed at how quickly the children had learned their parts.
She said: "These children are remarkable because they have only been rehearsing it for two weeks. There is great excitement in the school and it is wonderful to be involved.
