A MAN forced two women to have sex with his father, a jury has been told.

On a separate occasion, Philip Nigel Coates and his father, Raymond Coates, watched the younger of the women in a sexual act with a dog, William Lowe QC told Leeds Crown Court.

He was opening the prosecution against Philip Coates, 56, of Ascot Way, Acomb, York, North Yorkshire, who denies four charges of procuring women for sex.

He also denies one charge of inciting a woman to commit a serious sexual act with an animal.

Mr Lowe said Raymond Coates helped Philip Coates get a new car and buy a house after Raymond Coates had sex with the older woman on two occasions more than 17 years ago.

The court heard that she feared that the son would hit her, and feared for the safety of her young child, if she did not agree to the sex acts.

Mr Lowe told the court that more than 13 years ago, both men used threats against the younger woman to make her have sex with the father, and that both men wanted her to pose for pornographic photos but she refused.

The jury was told that on a separate occasion, despite her reluctance, they involved her in the animal sex incident while they watched and she heard a comment that "people would pay to watch that sort of thing".

After his arrest, the son denied the incident had taken place and denied accusations about forcing women to have sex with his father.

The trial continues.
