VISITORS to Durham Market Place will be greeted by a mix of music and motors this weekend.
Live Music and Motors takes place on Sunday, featuring a display of new car models from local garages and performances by six bands to cater for all musical tastes.
Backed by the local motor trade, it is jointly organised by Durham Musicians' Union, the city forum and marketing initiative.
The motor display runs from 10.30am, with the bands performing on the covered stage from 12.45pm until about 5pm.
Hetton Silver Brass Band open the event, followed by the jazz sounds of Different Worlds, at 1.30pm, a melodic pop and rock interlude with Inertia, from 2.15pm, folk from Dusk till Dawn, at 3pm, and 30 minutes of "good-time music" with David Whitaker and Friends, from 3.45pm.
Indie band Mavis round off the concert, taking to the stage from 4.30pm.
