DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a man was found lying in the street with a serious head injury.
The 42-year-old was found in South Bank, near Middlesbrough, in the early hours of yesterday and taken to Middlesbrough General Hospital where his condition is described as comfortable. It followed an incident in Hampden Street, near the junction of Victoria Street.
Witnesses are asked to contact police on (01642) 302626.
