A BEER brewed in the North-East is being exported to ale drinkers abroad.
Camerons Brewery, in Hartlepool, has sent its first container of Strongarm beer to the US.
The first order containing more than 35,000 bottles of its flagship ale is heading for a major customer in Texas.
Mike Berriman, marketing director at Camerons Brewery, said: "We are pleased to announce that we have appointed an importer in the US and as a result of this partnership the first container of Camerons Strongarm has set sail for the US.
"The partnership offers the brewery an exciting and profitable business opportunity as well as expanding our overseas sales.
"The main focus in the US will be on Camerons Strongarm, but we have already received significant interest for other brands from our portfolio."
