THE Consumer Credit Association, which represents about 500 home credit businesses in the UK and Ireland, has appointed Patti Atkinson as chairman of its North-East branch.
The 48-year-old managing director of Sunniside Clothing and Supplies Ltd, has worked in the consumer credit industry throughout her career.
She joined the family business, which provides small personal loans and operates a voucher scheme, in 1979, becoming managing director in 1987.
