SUMMER ACTIVITIES: Crook Library has organised the following activities for children:
Tomorrow - 1pm to 3pm, animation sessions with Steve Dales. Free.
Tuesday - 2pm to 2-45pm, Harry Potter Magic Show with Martin Duffy, children under-five must be accompanied. Cost £1.
Monday August 11 - 1.30pm to 3.30pm kite making workshop for eight to 11-year-olds with Malcolm Goodman. Cost £1.
Friday August 15 - 10.30am to 11.15am, Punch and Judy Show with Brian Llewellyn. Free.
Monday August 18 -10.30am to 11.30am, Mr Twister's Magical Fun Show, for four to seven-year-olds, with Darren Bonas. Cost £1.
Monday August 18, 2-3.30pm Magic and Balloon Workshop for eight-11-year-olds with Mr Twister. Cost £1.
RETIREMENT: Pupils at St Cuthbert's RC School, Crook, said farewell to retiring teacher Eileen McGuire by presenting her with an ornament and a bouquet on the last day of term.
Mrs Mcguire taught at the school for 19 years. She was also presented with a painting of Durham Cathedral by members of staff.
