Darlington complete their pre-season programme at Barrow tomorrow with manager Mick Tait hoping to run the rule over more potential signings.

Goalkeeper Michael Price this week ended a summer of frustration for Tait when he signed a one-month contract after impressing on trial.

And former Blyth striker Glen Robson could soon follow after scoring three goals in two trial appearances for the club.

Tait has held talks with more targets and hopes to include at least one new face at Holker Street tomorrow.

"There are one or two lads I want to take a look at but I can't say anymore until they've agreed to come," said Tait.

"We've been let down with players in the past because other clubs have came in for them after we've made our interest known."

French midfielder Fabian Bossy impressed in Wednesday night's win at Dunston and Tait is expected to take a second look at the former Clyde man.

The 25-year-old, who has also had spells in Scotland with Ayr and Clydebank, is keen to try his luck south of the border and did his chances of earning a permanent deal no harm with a hard-working display at Dunston.

"He looks a decent player, keeps play moving all the time and he does plenty of work tracking back runners," said Tait

Released Newcastle defender Paul Dunn is unlikely to figure in Cumbria but should play some part in Tuesday night's practice match at Whitby Town.

* Ex-Darlington defender Adam Reed is on trial at York and played for the Minstermen in last night's friendly with Livingstone.

* Willington play Darlington reserves tomorrow (kick-off 2pm) at the Hall Lane Ground.
