A MECHANICAL rubbish bin and a huge aluminium can wrapped around a tree are part of council officials' efforts to raise awareness of an environmental scheme.
Darlington Borough Council's Rethink Rubbish Roadshow will visit the Market Square on Monday.
The roadshow will be aiming to make residents consider their approach to recycling.
Council officers will be giving out advice to anyone visiting the roadshow.
A new kerbside recycling scheme comes into effect in a matter of weeks, with people being urged to place their rubbish in green boxes for removal.
