KEY MEETING: The Upper Weardale Task Force will be revealing details of its strategy to regenerate the dale at a public meeting at Stanhope Town Hall, on Thursday, at 7.30pm.
Officials of Wear Valley District Council will attend.
HELPING HAND: The Age Concern information bus will be at Barrington Hall, St John's Chapel, tomorrow, from 10am to noon, and at the Village Hall, Rookhope, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm. The bus will then go to Boltsburn Crescent, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. On Thursday, it will be at The Square, Stanhope, from 10am to 11am, then Church Hall car park from 11am to noon, the Literary Institute, Ireshopeburn, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, and at the village square, Wearhead, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
RIGHT NOTE: A coffee morning is being held at Stanhope Church Hall on Saturday from 10am to noon in aid of Stanhope Silver Band. There will be a raffle, cakes and bric a brac stalls.
CONCERT DATE: Consett Citizens Choir is giving a concert in aid of the Bishop Auckland Butterwick Hospice at Stanhope Church Hall on Wednesday, August 13, at 8pm. Tickets are £2.50.
SHOW SALE: A car boot sale in aid of Weardale Agricultural Society is being held at the recreation ground, St John's Chapel, on Monday. August 25, from 9am.
