A GO-KARTING teenager with a passion for speed has taken the next step on the racing ladder.
Daniel Cook, 15, from Scotton, near Catterick Garrison, has been approached by Honda to drive one of its single-seater cars when he turns 16 later this month.
He is being sponsored by Jedi Racing and Elite Heat, of Darlington, and will take part in his first race near Leicester in October.
"He'll be racing at Silverstone and all those places with the big boys," said his father Sam. "It is basically like a little Formula One car. We are delighted."
