Newcastle Airport was closed for more than an hour yesterday after a plane got stuck on a runway.
The light aircraft's landing gear failed, blocking the runway, and attempts by the airport's fire service to move it failed.
The plane was eventually moved by firefighters from the Tyne and Wear brigade.
